The original AGA Masterchef was first introduced in the late 1990s and has gone on to be one of the UK’s best-selling conventional cookers, loved by those who are passionate about cooking.

Last year, this underwent a significant redesign to reflect the appearance of the iconic heat-storage AGA more closely, while retaining its reputation for quality and peerless performance.

The new design of this cooker provided smooth and easy to clean surfaces and dye-cast AGA-style solid doors. It features ergonomically designed control knobs, a thermostatically controlled slow cooking oven, two large independent ovens, a high-speed ceramic electric grill and five gas burners.

The qualities and strengths for which AGA is justly famous are easy to see, and one look at the Masterchef confirms its timeless heritage.

There's a choice of a natural or propane gas five-burner Hotplate. Below the hotplate is a slow-cooking oven and a super-fast ceramic electric grill. The 100DF has two large fan convection ovens. The left-hand oven is programmable.

The freestanding Masterchef has been designed to occupy a 1000mm space and to match the height and depth of standard kitchen units. It is fitted with four adjustable wheels and two front feet for easy levelling during installation and for mobility during cleaning.

This Masterchef is available in all the traditional AGA colours of Cream, Claret, British Racing Green, Black and Silver and there is an AGA Badge on the slow cooking oven door. It is currently only available with a gas hob option only.

A Hotplate To Conjure With - The Masterchef hotplate can be powered by natural or propane gas, so the responsive nature of gas cooking is available whether you live in town or country. The unit comprises different-function burners, specifically developed to provide different heat rating and to suit varying pan sizes. A twin flame ring wok burner supplies very fast heat for stir frying and boiling pasta, the rapid burner gives quick response and a set simmer position. Two semi-rapid burners are included for smaller pans and slower cooking, whilst the long, large central burner can accommodate a fish kettle, or can be used to heat the lift-off Masterchef griddle, for healthy griddling of steaks, vegetables, fish etc. This optional non-stick, cast aluminium griddle has flat and ribbed sections with a generous oil / fat catchment area.

Independent Fanned Electric Ovens Each large enough to hold a 11kg (24lb) turkey. The left hand oven is fully programmable with true convection for even heat throughout. Stay-clean linings, 5 runner settings, internal lights and removable inner glass doors for easy cleaning. Standard supplied accessories include 4 oven shelves and 1 large roasting tin. Echoing the solidity of a traditional AGA range, the doors are cast aluminium - all Masterchef doors are easily removed so that in future, if you wish to change the colour of your Masterchef, it is as simple as slotting in a new set of doors. Specially developed oven lining help keep themselves clean whilst cooking.

Grill Advanced High speed, ceramic electric design for virtually instant response and even heat distribution throughout grilling area. full-on and centre only settings. Standard supplied accessories include 1 grill shelf, 1 twin handled grill pan and 1 grill rack.

Slow Cooking - To the left of the grill is the slow cooking oven. This provides truly controllable low temperatures for cooking dishes such as casseroles, curries or creme caramel to perfection, and an ideal way to warm plates and serving dishes.

Colours - Specially developed durable powder coating paint finish, independently tested for adhesion, thermal shock resistance and the effects of solar and direct sunlight covers the heavy quality dies cast aluminium doors.

Cookers Hood - The Masterchef cooker hood (900mm wide x 490mm deep) is an option that's practical and good looking with a stainless steel trim to complement the Masterchef styling, and an integral light. The hood's high specification makes for extremely efficient operation at the touch of a button - via a discreet drop down control panel - and the three removable easy-clean grease filters are dishwasher-safe. (The hood can be ducted or used in re-circulation mode).

Splashback - For a further optional touch of design chic with practical appeal, fit the toughened glass, easy-clean splashback.

Griddle - An optional Masterchef griddle is available.
